I was looking for “the dress”, as all women do. I had purchased a dress on a designer discount site online which I wasn’t 100% sure about so I decided to check out the BABC event. My girlfriend and I had so much fun watching the fashion show and then her helping me try on dresses after. I ended up finding the dress of my dreams (a Rivini sheath) at your event – even though it fit terribly at the time! I just knew I had to have it, even though it needed a lot of work. I had never seen anything like it before. The BABC volunteers in the fitting room really helped me understand how much work it would be to alter and I was so appreciative of their help and knowledge or alterations and prices.

I ended up finding a GREAT alterations place who worked wonders with my dress (for much less $ than anticipated no less!): completely remade the bodice to fit using material from the too-long train, and replaced a piece of old mesh which holds the top up. I looked up the style online later and found that I got a great deal from BABC. The dress retails for $2000 and I got it for $800 at BABC! The alterations were another just under $400.

Overall, I was so happy with my dress and experience with BABC. It felt great knowing that out of all the money we spent on our wedding, some of it was going to a really great cause.
